THE OVERCOMERS – The Days Ahead (Pt2)

Revelation 14:1-5
1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. 3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.

Revelation 18:1-2
1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!

Daniel 11:35
35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.

The journey to the Throne of the Uncreated Light – God; the journey past all created things to behold the Uncreated One; the journey to be One with the Eternal One; the journey past the things that attract the eyes, distracts the mind and that which distances a spirit (the heart of a man) from its true state, is the journey of Faith which is anchored on the evidence of things not seen but hoped for. It is the journey of walking by the Spirit. For you Overcomers, it is the journey of coming into perfection; however, it takes you through the Fire of Refinement which is divinely instructed to remove all the dross from your heart.

As it were, from a generic point of view, all professing believers stand to claim that they are overcomers, however, the litmus test for this reality always comes out with the same result that not all that call Jesus ‘Lord! Lord!’ are truly part of the overcoming few, but only those who do the wil of the Father. I will try to explain myself as much as I am given to.

There may not be a huge collection of ways to know a true Overcomer that are written in black and white, but there are bold clues in scripture that point them out. The constant unshakeable clue, however, is that the ones who are overcoming know themselves by the lifestyle of the walk of Faith they practice each day with the Spirit. That Faith is the very victory that overcomes the world and is forever True; but the most authentic way to know an Overcomer is not how much of the world they have victory over by Faith, but how much of their own flesh they die to. It is found in their lifestyle and not in their ‘talkstyle’. They are not Overcomers because they overcame the world and the enticing things in it but they are Overcomers because they overcame their own flesh, just like Jesus did – “I can of Myself do nothing, as I hear – I judge.” (To judge is to discern between this and that) – “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me…To do Your will, O God”. These are the ones who, like Paul, have counted all achievements in the flesh as dung, in order to attain unto the resurrection of the dead. These ones believe for sure that Jesus came to die for them and the World, but much more, they are the ones who obey the Lord to pick up their cross daily, carry it on their shoulders up the Hill of Golgotha and then, be nailed on it with only a simple statement on their lips, ‘Not my will, but Yours be done!’. These are few indeed, and they are rightly called by their Father, ‘the Overcomers’. These ones have put their hands to the plough and will not turn back even at the face of Death, for they loved not their lives to the death. They are consumed by the groaning Heart of their Father to come into conformity with Himself and that comformity is the reason for their Sea of Glass Mingled with Fire experience.

I tell you the truth, dear Overcomer, you’re dearly beloved of your Father, and the discomfort of your flesh, even as you walk this path of Faith, is building for you weight of eternal glory in the Presence of God, Whom, having not seen, you love. Mind you, the pain of this Fire of Purification will not cease, nor will it be reduced until purity flows from you like the River of Life.

I speak to you Overcomers, many things will come against you in the coming days, but this is to birth in you the total reality of Christ. For the Mystery of Godliness in which God is fully manifested in the flesh, will overtake the entire Earth in a way no man thought it could ever be! It is for the unveiling of that Mystery of Godliness that you are being burnt with Fire, so that no impurities will be found in you. (Daniel 11:35)

It pleased God to hurt His own Son, Jesus, for your sake; but mind you it also pleases God to judge your flesh in readiness for the unfolding of Himself in you. So, do not be weary or discouraged by the many trials and tribulations sent your way by God. Embrace them, while you allow patience to finish her work in your heart. You will come forth on the other side as light.

To put things in their accurate perspective, that which is being judged in you is the spirit of Babylon whose wine of fornication the entire Earth is drunk on. Babylon has fallen, at least for more than two thousand years, when John the Beloved saw it. But the influence of her whoredom is still in the Earth, and seemingly getting stronger like a plague, right even in the institutional Church.

It is the cry of the Overcomers that Babylon be judged and be completely destroyed, but Babylon cannot be judged in the World except she has first been judged in the heart of the Overcomers. Why? It is by the unfolding and the unsealing of the Mystery of the Scroll, which represents the lives of the Overcomers, that the system of Babylon will be judged and destroyed. ‘Judgment will begin from the House of the Lord’ is not talking about a denomination, its eldership or its membership. This judgment is that judgment of the Whore of Babylon in the very heart of each Overcomer who are the true Tabernacles of God. But take heed not to run away from this painful judgment in your soul, by Christ Himself. He is simply, by the two-edged sword in His mouth, dividing asunder between the bone and the marrow, soul and spirit and bringing you each day unto conformity with Himself. So, rejoice dear ones, in this tribulation, for it is to your glory in Christ Jesus. Obviously, I do not write to everyone, nor am I sent to everyone – but to the few who my Father has put within the reach of my voice. To them I speak and also sing, you are loved by your Father indeed. The days ahead are not going to be easy, at least not as most people think when they buy the lie of escapism through rapture. For those who are chosen to be the first fruit of the manifestation of the God to come, they are the expression of the 144,000 of Revelation 14. For these ones, the fire of the refining furnace shall be increased seven times. Why? The Word of God is purified seven times and cannot return to Him void of the Testimony it is meant to produce for God. We are the word of God made flesh, just like Jesus was. “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” “…And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living being,” (Gen1:26, 2:7) is proof that we are the word of God made flesh. The original intention of God for the cool of the Day has not been annulled, howbeit, it wasn’t achived with Adam. It will happen with us. But we must first go through the “heat of the Day” propped up seven times to purify us and make us ready for the King. So rejoice, overcoming sons of God. For the time has come for the perfection of your perfection and to walk with the fourth Man. For untill the fire was increased seven times, the fourth Man did not show up. In this, you should rejoice.

It is not a surprise that the identity of the true Overcomers can be so hidden in the darkness of this World, that even the Overcomers themselves might find it hard to believe that they are one of such. However, as God gives grace, I will shed a little light on the identity of these precious sons of God, based on my own personal walk with the Spirit. But do all to search these things out with the Holy Spirit for clarity and deeper sense.

The Identity of the Overcomer

Like I said earlier, every Overcomer knows themselves by their pattern of walk of Faith and their daily lifestyle. But, just to encourage someone who might doubt that they are one, the few things below can serve as pointers to your true reality as an Overcomer:
-Those whom God Himself, by His Spirit, has called Overcomers. This is the most authentic way for you to know that you are an Overcomer. Anybody can pick up a concept from scriptures, imitate the drama, but live a faithless lifestyle. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And because no one can please God without Faith, anyone who doesn’t walk daily by the words that proceed from the mouth of God (I’m not just talking of picking scriptures from the Bible) cannot please Him. And no one can claim to be an Overcomer, if they don’t please God by Faith. So, a faithful (full of Faith by the Word of God) walk each day with God, is an all time pointer for those who are Overcomers.

• You are an Overcomer, if in your daily walk with God; you daily overcome in your flesh, the various sins of the Seven Churches in Revelation 2 and 3. The Lord Jesus said at each correction that he who overcomes each of these things have an inheritance with God. Your response to God to deal and to rise above these things each day is a pointer to God’s choice in you as an Overcomer. You will know in yourself if you are an Overcomer or not by this. For the true Overcomer, trials and temptations don’t come because of sins, not really, they come because you are the Living Tabernacle of God and God will see to it that you are clean.
  -You are an Overcomer, if in your heart you have conquered the sin of Fornication. By fornication, I do not mean, sexual sin – for that is a sin against your own body. The Fornication I speak of is the exchange of the Eternal things for the pleasures of this World. As God allows, more light will be shed on this in subsequent articles. Ever wonder why Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in adultery (fornication or sexual sin)? It is the mystery behind the real fornication He was showing us. God has never stopped using sexual sin (physical fornication) to pull Overcomers to Himself, but the sin of spiritual Fornication, who will redeem such? (Selah) The story of the sinful woman called Mary is a clue, that while men called her a sinner or a fornicator, a memorial was being set up for her by Christ. See Mark 14:3-9.
  -You are an Overcomer if the signs and wonders of this World, and of the Church and every act of gymnastics being performed all over no longer interest your mind nor have any place of value in your soul. See what John was told by the Angel. ‘Why did you marvel?… All those who dwell on the Earth will marvel whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the World, when they see the Beast that was, and is not, and yet is.’ See Revelation 17:1-8
  The true Overcomer walking daily with God doesn’t get carried away by these colorful poisons from the wine of the whore of Babylon. Your hart can judge to see if you are an Overcomer by this. However, a man can be an Overcomer who has not found himself yet, but the clues in this fact still remain the same.

In conclusion, to be an Overcomer is to come over from Darkness into Light. See what Colossians 1:13-14 says “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love, in Whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.” However, the process of coming from darkness into light is beyond saying the sinner’s prayer of repentance. That in itself can allow you to see the Kingdom. Why? Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” But walking in the Kingdom reality as one who has come over and is overcoming can only happen by being born of Water and Spirit. Meaning, the Word they hear from God each day, propels them to be led by the Spirit (born of Water of the Word of God and by the Spirit that is, being renewed each day by the Holy Spirit). It is for these ones that the trials and the tribulations of the flesh, the walking on the Sea of Glass Mingled with Fire is set apart for. In them, God has found earthen vessels worthy of precious jewels.

So, dear Overcomer, even as you journey on these realities of coming over to the other side upon the Sea of Reflection and the Fire of Purification, do not make the mistake of Peter, when he took his eyes away from the Lord upon the raging waves of the sea. The raging sea is the same as the Sea of Glass and the storm is the Fire. For Peter, the moment he saw himself in line with the fear that the sea was reflecting back to him, he lost contact with the Word of the Lord that said, “Come!” and instantly began to sink. I encourage you to hold on to that which you have been told by God and the God of Grace will keep you as you journey to the Throne of Light. Shalom, Shalom, Shalom.
