GOD THE FATHER – The Supreme Love

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? Romans 2:4

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
1 John 3:1-3

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Introduction
Beloved Overcomer and Pilgrim of God, who has been called to partake of the eternal riches of the Father and called to be one with the Son, you are highly loved of God your Father and will surely see His face if you hold on to your faith and love for Him with all diligence and hope.
I welcome you into 2019, the year of the sword of justice of the Lord.
My last publication was a declaration about what 2019 is meant to be for the Overcomers and for the world in general, even as God puts in place His machinery for purification and cleansing of the nations through judgment and grace, in preparation for the coming of the kingdom of His Son of love. But as an extension of that declaration, here is what the Father wants you to know also about 2019 and the coming days, which is directly tied to why 2019 is the year of the sword of the Lord.

The Supreme Love of God as the Father
Scripture declares that God is Love, and everything that emanates out of God is done out of His love for man and creation. The judgment of God, His wrath, His fury, His emotions, His words, His actions and every single thing He does, comes out of the place of the love in His heart. Many know God as many things, ranging from He being God worthy of worship, many know Him as the One who provides for their needs, many know Him as the creator of the heavens and the earth, many determined in their hearts not to even know or think about Him at all, but the time has come and God wants to show Himself to the world and to mankind that He is Father. God doesn’t need to prove Himself and His Fatherhood to anyone, nor does He need the approval of any man or institution in order to express Himself to man. He is simply God and now has come to reveal Himself as God the Father who is the Source of all things. The Hebrew word for father is Abba and which means “Source”. Meaning that the source fountain of all things is directly attached to fatherhood and in this case, God’s Fatherhood. Men have over the ages dealt with God as some don’t-come-too-close-to-me kind of deity with a huge fist of fire always ready to land a punch or thunderbolt when we miss our steps before Him. Some have also been deluded into believing that because of the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden, God is angry with mankind. This is not true and will never be. God is not angry with the mankind that He Himself created for His own purpose. In fact, how can God be angry for the fall of man when it was He, God, that planned the fall? Think about that for a moment. See it this way, how can God be angry with man for falling when He God had already killed His Son from before the foundation of the earth and before the fall of man, in preparation for the fall of man? The love of God supersedes every form of fall that man can fall. The world has known the supposed anger of God and His wrath against sin, but the world will now know the Love of God the Father which is spread abroad in our hearts but which we have not known or understood. There is only one way that God judges, and that is through the eyes of His love.

The goodness of God
There are two sides of God always at work both in heaven and on earth. These two sides can show up in various forms but they are one and the same thing. I speak of the side of God which is His goodness and the side of God which His severity. These also show up as His male side (The side that keeps watch over) and His female side (The side that tends, nurture, incubate, comforts). This is also alluded in the two witnesses as Elijah (Severity) and Moses (Meekness and Goodness).
Both the goodness of God and His severity are at work always and both come from His heart of love to bring man back to his original position and place with God, for we know that the goodness of God leads us to repentance and His severity leads to jealousy which ultimately also leads to repentance and a return back to God. It doesn’t matter what men may say and it doesn’t matter what men may think about the various things happening in the world that is creating doubts about the goodness of God…God is good. And it is because of His love and His goodness that He will cleanse the earth with His sword of justice and then establish a new earth of eternal love and goodness.

The severity of God
The severity of God is directly tied to His love and His goodness and is oftentimes expressed from a place of His jealousy over a man or a people He chose for Himself, but who or which have turned their backs against Him. The Apostle Paul wrote about the dealings of God with the Jews and then the Gentiles in his letter to the Romans, painting a picture of what the goodness and the severity of God does in bringing a man or a people of His love back to Himself.
“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” Romans 11:22-23. (But for more clarity and context, please read the entire chapter of Romans 11).
This means that every time God expresses His severity or His goodness, it is to bring a person or a people back to Himself and not for destruction. God doesn’t take some kind of joy in seeing humanity struggle with life and harsh circumstances beyond natural control. His purpose from the beginning was for man to live in His presence and abide in His light and love, and not the separation caused by the fall of man, even though the fall itself is meant to produce a process of becoming the image of God. It is this returning back to God that the chastisement, the pruning, the punishment has been about. God is holy and He will not allow unholiness before Him. And for that reason, His severity is poured out for the purpose of cleansing and not for destruction as we often think; for a father chastises the son he loves.

Know God the Father
The intention of God the Father is not for anyone to be lost or destroyed. Yes God can destroy a man’s sinful flesh, but His intention is never to destroy a man’s soul or spirit. Why? It is the breath of the fatherhood of God in man that makes him a living being and God cannot destroy His own life nor His Spirit in a man. We are children of God and God is our Father. It is not enough to know God as what we have known Him, but we have to know Him as God the Father of our Lord Jesus and also as our Father. See what the Lord Jesus said to Mary on the day of His resurrection. “Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” John 20:17. Jesus was not just saying these words in reference to Mary alone, but He said it as a message to the disciples and by extension anyone who believes in Him. God is our Father and He has come to manifest Himself from this 2019 as our Father. And like I have said before, He is not coming to prove Himself to anyone and neither is He coming by the permission of any man or institution, He is just coming to manifest Himself as God the Father.

Final notes
I was invited for a talk with a group of young boys just after the Christmas celebrations of 2018. Prior to the day of the meeting, I asked the Lord what He would have me talk about. And He made it clear that I should talk to them about Him as God the Father. In the meeting, I initially started with something else and later came back to telling them about God the Father. During the meeting, while I was saying something about relating to fathers, one of the boys, with a very sad look on his face spoke about how he doesn’t have a biological father. His words gave more strength to explaining to them more about who God is as Father, and how God promised to be the Father to the fatherless and a husband to the widow. I shared with them my own story as a boy who lost his own father at the age of fourteen and who by that loss of a biological father was made to know God the Father. It was very interesting, for after the meeting, a young woman who calls my wife and I her spiritual parents, told me about a recent event in her family. She shared how her mum called her and told her that the man she and her siblings had known all their lives as their father, was not really their father. Apparently, the mum introduced her to another man whom she claims is their real father. I could see the pain in her eyes and the confusion of how to now relate with the “new father” she never knew for twenty something years. All these stories on that day, simply reiterate more strongly the word God gave me about telling them that He is their Father. A few days after that meeting, it became extremely clear to me that God has come to introduce Himself as God the Father not just to the boys, but to the entire world. He is definite in His purpose to cleanse the earth using His two sides of goodness and severity, but with just one purpose in His heart; to reveal His eternal love for humanity. For the God that so loved the world to the point of giving His Son Jesus for the salvation of the world has now also come for the establishment of the kingdom of His Son that He gave, so that His other sons, birthed by the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, will come into rest with Him forever. This is the plan and this is the purpose.
Mind you, the love of the Father, His goodness and His severity, His heart of Fatherhood is the reason why God must judge this world in order to create for Himself a new earth filled with His knowledge and run by His love.
So to you Overcomer, by whose life God will do these things and much more, do not be weary if God in the coming days takes you through more fires in order to completely prepare you to be the sword in His hand by which the earth will be cleansed.

PRAYER
Our Father who lives in heaven, we honor your holy name. It is clear to us that You by Your grace and choice in us have come to dwell in our hearts and also manifest yourself in ways never seen before on the earth. Help us to know that we are not alone on this journey of faith and help us to know that Your chastisement, severity and goodness in our lives are inputted so that we can know and understand how much you love us and how much you are willing that we be called your children and also to rule and reign with you.
