IN THIS SEASON – Capture the Spirit

Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

And His glory will be seen upon you.

Introduction

I don’t know about you, but for me, I could sense in my spirit a major shift and a call into a new dimension of the manifestation of Spirit on the earth. It’s a call that is opening new dimensions for the sons of God to come away by the Spirit of God into a new level of relationship, communion, a new dimension of wisdom to operate on the earth, and the opening of the portals of light to let in a new day of sight and visions of heaven and the manifestation of the same on earth. I do hope I am able to give clear context to that for which I am prompted to post this article today.

Darkness covers the earth

Darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness shall arise over the hearts and minds of the people of the earth, who walk by sight and not by faith. But the glory of the Lord shall arise over the people who have placed their hope and heart on God; for they are the fulfillment of what it means for God to be the Father of lights. But what is this glory, really? It is the same glory and the breath of Light (Life) that was breathed into man from the beginning and by which man became a living soul.

Daniel chapter 2: 41-45 speaks of the days of the ten toes, which is the kingdom age of iron and clay, which do not mix together. And how, in those days, a stone was cut out, without hands, that hit the image which Nebuchadnezzar saw, destroying it completely; and the wind came and blew it all away like dust. The passage went further to say that, the stone that was cut without hands became a mountain and filled the entire earth, which is the symbol of the kingdom of Christ that will consume every other kingdom on earth and which will last forever. Let me quickly add here that, the coming together of the iron and clay, which does not mix, among other things, speaks of the days we are in right now and even the coming days in which the minds of men will be so mixed and messed up that the things of the Spirit will not be able to settle in their hearts. They will hear but will not be able to put things together in their minds and by that, darkness takes a stronger hold on men’s souls. But, nonetheless, this is the very moment that God has been waiting for to manifest His light through His sons and by that light, destroy darkness and the works of darkness.

A word and a vision

I woke up this morning with a Word in my spirit. The word says “Issue Two.” It kept being repeated over and over. As I kept hearing that Word, even before I was completely awake, I somehow knew it was talking about me taking a look at Issue Two of Msingi Afrika Magazine; the online magazine that I co-publish with my wife. At first, I wondered what that particular issue was all about, because, sincerely, due to all the writing I have been doing, I had completely forgotten. So I went for my morning walk, with the intention of coming back to search the website for that issue of the magazine so as to understand why I was being prompted to read it. As I was walking, I was told to first listen to a particular audio message online before reading the magazine.  I came back from my walk, did a few things and started my day at my desk. I listened to the audio from the website, which speaks of the days of transition that the sons of God have come into. The entire message made perfect sense, and gave strength to the various other things that I have been sensing and which also I have been hearing and some which I have already written about in my blog, or shared elsewhere. Having understood the message from the audio, I proceeded to look for Issue Two of the magazine on the website. I found it and I was very surprised to find that the cover story for that issue was an article I had written about Ethiopia and the reality of a New Dawn of Spirit. Because I had forgotten most of the things I had written in that article, reading it again brought much clarity and my mind was able to connect most of the things God was prompting me to understand about the season we are in on earth.

One of the words God gave me and which I wrote in that article is, “The miracle of a new dawn is not only found in the reality of the start of a new day alone, but also in the majestic beauty, shades of color, the cool breeze, happy chirping birds of the morning and every other thing that comes with a new day. That which is folding and passing away often goes with the night and that which has been kept secret in the night hour often bursts forth with the emergence of a new dawn. This is the beauty and majesty of Ethiopia, the land of the new dawn of Spirit”. I received these words from the Lord concerning Ethiopia in early 2019. But truth be told, it is now making sense that what God spoke to me then was way more than just about Ethiopia as a nation, but about the nation of His Son called the household of David. Remember, two of the major national symbols of the nation of Ethiopia are the Star of David found on their flag and the Lion of the tribe of Judah whose image is found in Addis, the capital of Ethiopia. And also, the royal family of Ethiopia is connected to King David of Israel through Prince Menelik II, the son of King Solomon, whom he had with the Queen of Sheba when she visited him in Jerusalem.

I tried to read the entire article about Ethiopia but I could not proceed any further once I got to the subtopic which says “Capture the Spirit”. I somehow knew this was what the mind of God was leading me to. That is, as we have entered into this season of the clay and iron that do not mix, “capturing the Spirit” and being one with the Spirit is key to both mastering and ruling over the gross darkness that has been unleashed on the earth. But what does it mean to capture the Spirit. I will give a very basic meaning, derived from photography. To capture an image in photography simply means to “freeze in time” a frame from within an occurring action. So to capture the Spirit can basically mean to “freeze in time” that which is happening in eternity, in order to both understand it and also walk in the reality of that which is captured.

As I meditated on these things and tried to put them together in my mind, I had this inner vision that was so clear. It was like a flash and it left my body very hot and shaken. In this vision, I saw myself seated in an open field that looked like a huge round stadium with people that looked like dark agents everywhere. I sensed they were all carrying weapons. It was like watching an epic movie of ancient tribes gathered for a ritualistic ceremony. I was seated naked on the ground with shackles on my feet and hands. The space was like a huge round stadium, but the roof looked like the firmament of the earth. Everything was dark in feeling, but I could see all that was going on clearly. As I sat there watching as they prepared for their ceremony, suddenly, power started rising from within me and the shackles on my feet and my hands just fell off by themselves. I stood up and there appeared a drumstick in my right hand which started growing, increasing in size as I rose up from the ground. As that was happening, I could sense that there was some commotion going on among the people who had been watching me. It was uproar of surprise that the shackles on my hands and feet were broken off. Just as the drumstick came into my hand, I suddenly saw this huge Afrikan drum standing beside me. Without saying a word, I went to the drum, raised the drumstick as high as I could and struck the drum very hard. The sound from the drum created this powerful nuclear effect all around. The sound sent such a powerful wave of energy that destroyed everything in its path and all around it. Both the crowd and the entire stadium with the roof that looked like the firmament of the earth were uprooted in that one blast of sound energy. Nothing was left standing, except me.  Then I watched as light started pouring down from heaven, spreading all over the earth. I came out of that vision with my skin on fire and my face feeling like someone who is standing before a flame of fire. The feeling was very rich and victorious.  And I believe that the picture of me in shackles could mean the reality of the sons of God in some form of supposed “bondage” but through which God will deal with darkness.

Do not contend with the season

For a while now I have been hearing in my spirit this statement which says, “Do not contend with the season, understand it”. I believe this is a direct word from the Lord about how to deal with this season from the place of understanding and wisdom, rather than from the place of fighting and contention. There is a way God wants us to deal with or “fight” against darkness in this season and it will take the wisdom and understanding of what God is doing to make it happen. And when I said there is a way, I am not saying there is just one way. The way God would expect each one of us to deal with darkness may be different according to our unique ordinations, but it will all amount to one way in Him. Let me give you an example. I was shown a video this morning about a Nigerian doctor in the US named Dr Stella Immanuel, who made a speech about how both the cure and prevention for Covid-19 is found in three simple drugs called Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc and Zithromax. This is the same claim which the US President Trump has been making from almost the beginning of the pandemic. Apparently she is also a pastor and a member of a group of doctors called the “America’s Frontline Doctors”. She made some clear statements about the many falsehoods going on in this Covid-19 fight. But as you would have expected, the video has been taken down by Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. CNN Business tagged it as “A video featuring a group of doctors making false and dubious claims related to the coronavirus.” But before the video was taken down, it has already had about 14 million views globally. But here is what I received in my spirit concerning this video:  “Even if the physical mouth of Afrika (Madagascar) could be silenced concerning the cure to Covid-19, the spiritual mouth of Afrika (Stella Immanuel), which when combined means: “The Star of God is with us” cannot be shut down. It must give strength to that which Trump (The trumpet and mouth-piece) of God has been saying concerning the treatment and cure for Covid-19.” Sure enough, President Trump shared the video with his 80 million twitter followers before it was taken down. This is a prophetic insight and it clearly carries meaning.

What does it all mean?

There are lots of things going on right now in our world and lots of meanings that can be attributed to each from various people. But for me, it simply means that we are on a battle front with darkness and that darkness does not have any intention of making the endtime journey easy for the people of God. But nonetheless, it’s a battle that we have been prepared for, but which will not be fought the way we may have known before.

Love as the weapon

I have shared before in my previous articles how that the shutdown of the church and the inclusion of the church in the category called ‘non-essential’, is an indication of the shift that God wants to take the church through, that is, a shift from depending on the gifts of the Spirit to growth and maturity in love for God and the humanity that He loves. It’s not an end to the gifts of the Spirit, but a subjection of the same to love. To be frank, it takes some high level of love for God and humanity for the “America’s Frontline Doctors” to take a stand and make such announcement that goes directly against the global pharmaceutical business. But you can never tell just how much damage their voices have caused in the world of darkness, for taking a love stand, even if it could cost them their lives.

As I conclude, let me say this. The New dawn of Spirit is here and He Who is the Star of the God Who is with us, has now come to lead us into the transition that God has prepared for us to enter into. The question is, will you allow Him to, even if you find yourself “chained hand and foot” amongst the very enemies of light?
