Introduction
There was a time that the Bible, which you have now in book form, was the lifestyle and the day-to-day events of some people and the reality of how God dealt with them in their faith walk with Him. And, whether you believe it or not, there is coming a time, in this very world, where the Bible you have now may not be available like you currently have it. When that time comes, the level of living Epistle that you have become on the inside will determine how you will live then. Those are the days popularly known in the Christian world as the days of Jacob’s trouble, or the days of tribulation.
Yes, there are those who think that “rapture” is coming to take them away before the tribulation that is coming, but I think the Bible points to a different reality. See Matthew 24:29-31. For, in as much as scripture speaks of a change from mortality to immortality for those who are in Christ, I do not think it’s an escapist “rapture”, as we have been made to believe. However, this article is not about “rapture” and so I will not dwell too much on it.
Mental depression
I am not an expert in the field of the study of depression, so I won’t be speaking from a medical position, but more from my own observations as a person who has a mind that thinks. So, you will forgive my non-medical approach to the issue.
For me, depression is the acute recession into a deep and dark valley, a space where one begins to accept false narratives about themselves as true and, thus, they are not able to snap out of that space, because that which is true now becomes unattainable. I reason that for most people that fall into depression, it somehow is connected to them having to detach themselves from things or people they have been emotionally attached to before. It looks like a weakness, or even a disease, to fall into depression, but is it really a serious evil, or just something we need to understand from a different angle and, by that understanding, deal with it accurately?
The reality is this, our lives are really combinations of movements from one mountain top to another, which must pass through a valley place. It’s not possible to move from the mountain top of one career, job, relationship, purpose etc., to another mountain top, without passing through the valley, which requires letting go of things, people and positions. Even the human heart beat, when looked at on the monitor is an undulating wave of movements. Meaning that a person is oftentimes pronounced dead when the undulating waves on the monitor flatten out, well, except some miracle happens. It’s the same thing with our daily lives. Take, for example, you are on the mountain top of your career, business or whatever else has given you much positive vibes and sense of fulfilment, and then suddenly things change, and you find yourself in the deep valley below, and because most people don’t pay attention to changes in seasons, depression starts to set in. But think of it for a moment. Don’t you think that finding yourself in a valley, after dwelling so long on the mountain top, is supposed to be a sign that you have exhausted the previous mountain top experience, and it’s time to climb with a new hope and joy the next mountain? Makes sense to me. To my mind, that’s what it should be. But why do such changes in seasons create such deep sense of loss, and, therefore, depression, for those who go through such changes of mountains? Here is what I think.
The evil of attachment to things or people
When we attach so much of our emotional energies to things, people, careers, relationships, family, or whatever else we attach things to, having to let go, when it’s time to move to the next mountain of maturity, opens doors to depression. Especially for a person who has yet to understand that, to live without things, and the weights of this life, is not a weakness nor a non-achievement but freedom and liberty. And, for those who may want to “sciencify” or “medicalize” what I am saying, do a true check on your heart and you will find out that the last time you fell into depression most likely was the result of a feeling of the loss of something or someone. Be truthful to yourself when you do this heart check.
We live in a world where success is measured by how much you have in your bank account, how many friends you have in high places that you can call instantly without any protocols, but not about how well you are fulfilling your God-given purpose and destiny. For me, from what I see around me, most depression stems from the unhealthy attachments to things and the inability to let go when it’s time to do so. So, it’s a deep sense of loss and unworthiness, which have the ability to make the depressed person feel un-useful, even for the very things they have always done very well. The world’s medical space has tied it to some kind of shift in brain chemicals and stuff, but nothing really happens to the mental space without the power of thought energies. Meaning that if you want to deal with the issue of depression, deal with the things that are altering the thinking patterns of people and what they have been investing their emotional energies in, and you will have a breakthrough. Strictly my opinion.
The coming global depression
The coming physical and spiritual depression that will hit the earth will be very massive and will topple many, but for those whose hearts are linked to God and the word placed in their hands to tend and keep, and who have learnt to disengage themselves from the things that many are chasing after, it will become for them a “portal” to enter into the very reason why they were created and placed on earth. I will explain what I mean when I say that the coming depression will be a “portal” for some to enter into the very reason why they are on earth.
But before I do that, I have a few thoughts to share, which you can duly filter in your place of meditation with God.
Scripture mentions the events that will happen at the end of days, which we certainly are in now, and also what happened to Jesus, personally, on a deep emotional level, when faced with the reality of the event of His death. See below:
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:25-26
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:41-44 (Bold Emphasis mine)
I intentionally boldened the parts of the scriptures above to indicate to you the kind of distress that is coming to our world in the nearest future. I am not a doom-sayer, but I also do not shy away from facing head on that which I see as what is definitely coming.
What was revealed
My wife shared with me an experience she had a short while ago. She heard a whistle in the air coming from somewhere around the house. Initially, she thought I was the one whistling. I do that sometimes. But she realized I was not even in the room where the whistling was sounding from. She told me about it and I just kept it in my mind, waiting to see what it meant. The next day or so, she bumped into a prophetic experience someone on Elijahlist.com had about whistling and the words the Lord gave concerning the whistle and how it is connected to the time of the end. I won’t share those thoughts from what she read here, but below is what came to my heart.
As I meditated on both experiences of the whistling, a picture began to be painted in my heart. First, we must understand that in the natural world of sports, the whistle of the referee always signals either a pause or the end of the game. But in this case, I will use the experience Elijah had with God and then tie it to where we are headed to on earth in the coming seasons.
1Kings 19:11-18 talk about how Elijah was escaping from the face of Jezebel after he learnt that Jezebel wanted to kill him because he, Elijah, had killed her prophets of Baal. The story went on to say that Elijah walked for forty days and forty nights into the wilderness, to Horeb, the mountain of God. He had an experience in which the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice of God gave him instructions for what to do, which for me was a whistle moment that changed the trajectory of everything in the land. For God told him to return on his way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and that when he gets there, he should anoint Hazael as king over Syria, anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah as prophet in his place. So it shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill. It was a major assignment to cleanse the land of paganism by the still small voice or the whisper of God, like a referee’s whistle to put an end to an era and to start a new one. For, if you read the entire story of the lives of Elisha, Hazael and Jehu, you will find what God used them to do both in Israel and in Syria.
The above events, like I had already said, indicated a three-dimensional assignment created to dismantle, by the hand of God, the pagan system that was set in place in Israel by the household of Ahab and his wife Jezebel, and in Syria, and which is also what He, God wants to do again, in the coming days, by the hands of His sons. For when Jehu was anointed as king, his instruction was “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I have anointed you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel. You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab all the males in Israel, both bond and free. So, I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah. The dogs shall eat Jezebel on the plot of ground at Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her.’ (Bold emphasis mine). If you notice the words in bold, what does it remind you of? Here it is in Revelation 18:20 and 24 “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!” and “…in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.” Meaning that the reality of Jezebel, and her husband Ahab, is the same picture of Babylon (the woman who sits upon the waters) and the beast (the ruler of the new world order) respectively. Read Revelation 17 and 18 for context. Let wisdom guide you to understand this.
What does it all mean?
It definitely will have other meanings, but as revealed to me, it is the end of the game for the household of Ahab (the globalists who run things by the power of the beast) and his wife Jezebel, which is mirrored by Babylon, who is the woman who sits upon the waters. How will this be? Just as the still small voice of the Lord, in a whisper to Elijah, suddenly triggered the end of an era, and the beginning of another, which is pictured in three realities, so has the whistle of the Lord blown to indicate the end of an era and the beginning of another. It’s the era of the reality of Elisha the prophet who walked in the double anointing and which is the picture of the two witnesses, which are not necessarily two people from Israel, but a reality of a regiment of the sons of God who will walk in both the goodness and the severity of God, the reality of Jehu the commander of the army who became the king of Israel, which is a picture of those sons of God in political leadership and then Hazael the king of Syria, who is the picture of those sons of God who are in the secular space for cleansing and righteousness. These three, in their anointing and regiment, will destroy the works of Babylon and set the pace for the coming of the kingdom of Christ. For, of Jehu, it was written “Then they broke down the sacred pillar of Baal, and tore down the temple of Baal and made it a refuse dump to this day. Thus, Jehu destroyed Baal from Israel. (See 2 Kings 10:27-28)
The death of capitalism through stakeholder capitalism
The end time events will deal a lot with the issues of money, trade, commerce, disruptions of the global supply chain and taking over of properties belonging to individuals by those who are buying them out from those who are doing distress sales.
A short while ago, I saw a news headline that read: “The end of capitalism?” The headline was pointing to what is going on in China, where the government is demolishing uncompleted estates, whose owners have gone bankrupt, and they need to clear and reclaim those lands. I am talking about skyscrapers, and lots of them, being demolished. But this is not just a China thing after all. It actually speaks of the collapse of the system of capitalism that has held the entire world bound for centuries, but which will be replaced with a worse system that puts properties and the market in the hands of even fewer people called stakeholders. Read my last article for context. These “stakeholders” are controllers of governments of nations, and their footprint can already be seen globally. They control government policies of nations through loans, debts and come in the guise of those who say they are for a green revolution, but whose real intention is to control seeds, farmlands, food systems, supply chains and the various other sectors that are critical to the daily lives of the people of the world. For, if a person cannot get food to buy, water to buy, cannot get fuel for their vehicles, then it’s easy to control them to receive any of the three brand marks of the beast: the mark, the number or the name of the beast, just so they can have those basic amenities.
Why is it important to be aware of this change from the old capitalism to stakeholder capitalism? It is to remind you that your focus is not to be towards your government, but towards God who called you His son. For, the governments of all nations will be under the authority of the beast and his cohorts; though this era will be very short yet highly evil. For, when the Christ said that nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, in Matthew 24, he wasn’t speaking of the nations of the world, as it were, even though that also applies. But He was mostly speaking of the reality of Isaac and Ishmael as two nations, and how it is the picture of the nation of the covenant of faith, and the nation of the covenant of the law. And, by kingdom, He was speaking of the kingdom of the Christ and the kingdom of the beast. So, basically, the entire end time saga will be between two nations (the nation of the covenant of faith and the nation of the law) and two kingdoms (the kingdom of the Christ and the kingdom of the beast). So, how will the sons of God survive in the coming days, you may ask, since they cannot buy or sell without the brand marks of the beast? I think the answer to that question is pictured in the way Jesus lived when He was on earth. He could make food increase by a simple prayer. He could make money appear from the mouth of a fish. And, like Phillip the evangelist, it will be possible to be caught up to any place in the world by the Spirit, in this physical body.
All of the above realities seem to negate the ideology that the church will have been snatched away in a rapture by the time the end time age comes into full play. Well, my thought on that is this: there is nowhere in scripture where it is recorded that man was to go and live in heaven permanently. In fact, much was not written in the Bible about heaven, but a clear picture of the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven to earth is clearly written. Heaven, which in itself is the manifest presence of God, is coming down to earth and God will dwell among His people in the new earth. For, the heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. See Revelation 21:1-4 and Psalm 115:16. So, instead of the church teaching their people how to live the kingdom lifestyle on earth, based on the principles of heaven (manifested presence of God), they are busy talking about an escapist ideology called rapture and, by that, have created a bunch of people held in inertia, held bound by the workings of the system of the world, while waiting to be raptured. And yes, there is the current heaven that the souls of believers go to when they die (see Revelation 6:9-11) and which is temporal, for God intends to create a new heaven and new earth; but God’s intention for mankind is still earth and that has not changed from the beginning of time.
The death of Queen Elizabeth and Pope Francis as a sign
Many years ago, the Lord gave me these words. I heard, “When you hear of the death of the Queen of England and the death of Pope Francis, know that the beginning of the end time has come.” I may not be able to tell you how both the Queen of England and Pope Francis are connected to the reality of the end time, but one thing is for sure, both of them are “heads” of the world’s church system: The church of England and the Catholic church respectively. And whether you like it or not, the end time is not about the age of the churches, but the age of the kingdoms. For, if you pay attention to Revelation 3, and the reality of the seventh church, which is the reality of the last church age that we are in right now, and which is characterized by money and the love of what money can buy, (you can bear witness that the church system we have right now is controlled by money and the acquisition of it) and then how the very next opening was the door in heaven (Revelation 4) which speaks of the beginning of the kingdom age, then you will know that we are in a very interesting place and time in history.
Will you escape?
Jesus said in Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Bold emphasis mine) But what does it mean to be worthy of escape?
His words can definitely be interpreted in many directions, but here is what came to me. The escape is not necessarily a situation where someone is taken away from seeing or partaking in the end times age through rapture, but an escape that occurs when one has aligned with the tending and keeping of the word that was given to them and which was kept in faith. For He Himself asked, when the Son of man returns, will He find faith? Let me explain a few things. The Lord in Revelation 3:10 said, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Bold emphasis mine)
There may be other parts of scripture that could be used to explain the meaning of escape as it relates to tending and keeping the word of faith given to each one, but for me, the parable of the five wise virgins makes it clearer. Matthew 25:1-12 says
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Here is what the above means for me. The lamp and the oil speak of the word of God given to a man and the Spirit of God that gives birth to that word, respectively. Meaning that a man can have a word from God (thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path) but if that word is not planted in the womb of the Spirit (the Spirit is the oil in the lamp), that word will not bear fruit, and a fruitless tree cannot escape the axing of God. I hope that makes sense. Let me further explain.
The word of God is like the male sperm or seed and the Spirit is like the womb of the woman. Thus, the escape from that which is coming on the earth by the sons of God is directly connected to the word they are given as seeds of God, and which they plant in the “soil” or the womb of the Spirit of God, who is the incubator of all that is seen and unseen, and which brings to pass the first command that God gave man when He said “tend and keep”. Meaning that there are those who were given words from God as seeds, but they hid their seeds or planted their seeds in the wrong wombs and thus they are unfruitful. For the word of God is seed (the parable of the sower illustrated that too) given to men, which is incubated in the womb of the Spirit of God, and which is the true meaning of worshipping in Spirit and in Truth, and not some singing and dancing. Both the word or seed of God must work together with the womb or soil of the Spirit of God to bring forth the realities of God on earth. Meaning that the word of God given to a man that is planted in the wrong womb or land, will bring forth on the earth that which is completely different from that which God intends. And we have seen this almost everywhere on the earth. You hear people, especially in church, talk about the words they heard from God, but the entire world is still soaked in the rot of the corruption of Babylon. But what is wrong? You may ask. Most of those words were planted in the wrong wombs and not the womb of the Spirit of God that incubates and nurtures the seeds of God to fruition.
In conclusion
When I said that the coming depression will be a portal for the sons of God to enter into the purpose for which they were born, this is what I meant. It’s not some magical opening of portals, but an opportunity to pass the test of loyalty and faithfulness to the word given to each one. For, just as Jesus, when He was down with the weight of sin and death that rested on Him in the garden of Gethsemane, and how He wished the cup could be taken away from Him, yet went ahead to declare that the cup and the fulfillment of His assignment was the reason why He came to the earth, and thereafter proclaimed that not His will but the will of God be done, so shall each believer be tested. The test will become unto them the opportunity to declare their love for God and by that, enter into the glory that is set for them. For, concerning the believers who are walking in the patterns of the Christ, it is written, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and ]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2.
Therefore, is there a word or are there words you were given by God which set your purpose on the earth? Do the due diligence to plant those words in the womb or the soil of the Spirit, for true tending and keeping that will bear the accurate fruit that is required of God from you. For, as it is written in Matthew 25:5 that “…while the bridegroom was delayed, they all (both wise and foolish) slumbered and slept,” so shall the depression that is coming affect everyone on earth and many shall be weary, but for those whose lamps (the word of God in their care) and whose oil (the relationship with the Holy Spirit) are intact, they shall be made to escape the evil of the end time and be able to stand before the face of the Son of Man. For the word of God in a man’s heart, which is incubated by the womb of the Spirit of God, is what creates faith and the ability to receive: “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the rest of your Lord” as reward.
Heavy depression is coming to the world due to the change in season from one mountain to another, but those who will escape are those whose hearts have become the womb of the Spirit of God, where the words they are given are tended and kept unto a thirty, sixty and a hundred-fold harvest.
Blessings. From your brother.
