True Worship and The Release of The Champions of God

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…2Timothy 3:1-4

Intro

I woke up at about 3 am this morning with a very clear word and prompting to pray and call forth the next generation of God’s champions. It was an interesting and intense prayer session that saw me come to understand a few things that have been elusive for a while, but which I knew were critical for the days we are in. I won’t share much of that in this article but one thing is clear, a new season of taking the battle to the gate of the Lord’s enemy is here, and the voice of the Father is calling His champions to come forth.

God’s champions are those who have been assigned mandates on earth for the kingdom’s sake and who have gone through various ups and downs, and endured much pressure from the enemy but kept standing. They, like Paul, are those who have been hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed, for they carry treasures of the kingdom in their earthen vessels. So, they are not champions because they were untouchables, they are champions because they followed the One who leads them and stood with Him even in the face of the many troubles of life. It’s interesting to know that these champions may have even been broken in their journey with God, set aside as dry bones in the valleys of their refinement and taken for dead, for they are very dry. But it does not matter what state of deadness or dryness you are in, as a champion of God you are called to carry out a mandate on the earth for the kingdom of God; it is you that the call is for. Your Father is calling you to come forth, so COME FORTH.

One thing that I understood, as I prayed for the coming forth of the champions of God, is that the champions or sons of God that need to come forth in this season are not just humans, but include angels, spirit beings sent by God to the earth but who have been chained or stopped by the rulers of darkness in high places of the earth. When the Lord pointed this part of the prayer out to me, at first it did not make sense, then I remembered the story of the angel that was sent to help Daniel and how he was stopped by the prince of Persia for twenty-one days. So, both human sons of God and angelic/spirit beings who have been in hard and hidden situations are being called forth. Your time is now.

The worship experience

There are a lot of misconceptions and idolatry that have been mixed in with the worship ministry, and the dark cloud of sorcery in the music world is becoming unbearable. I will address a few things about worship in this article, especially how it is both a tool in the hand of God to manifest Himself on the earth and also how darkness has cornered it for its own agenda.

A few years ago, my wife, myself and a brother and sister went to this worship concert in Nairobi. There was a very popular worship leader from the US that came. The place was packed full and was vibrant with lights and sound. It was heavy. Somewhere within me, I could tell something was not settled about all the music, singing and dancing. I could not put a finger on it, so I joined in the singing and dancing anyway. The next morning as early as 3 am, I was prompted to go pray in the car. It was the cold season in Kenya, and for sure the car was as cold as a freezer. But I sat in there to pray. The moment I closed my eyes, I was taken, in a vision, back to the concert. The exact way everything was set up was the same, I was standing where I was during the concert. But something was different on the stage. In the very place where the worship leader and his backup vocalists were standing and singing the previous day, now was a woman dressed in red and looking like a slay queen, with people surrounding her on their knees, worshipping her. It was a very weird picture, but one that clearly depicted what scripture calls Mystery Babylon, or the woman who sits upon the waters and who controls the whole world with the intoxication of her wine of fornication. See Revelation 17 for context. In that short vision, I noticed that the only person worshipping in that entire concert hall was the sound engineer standing by his mixer in a corner.

I came out of that vision a bit confused. This worship leader is well respected globally, and I am even a fan of his music and songs. But the thing is this, the vision is accurate about the state of worship in the church, but it may not just be about the worship leader as a person, or about his ministry, but much more about what God sees when He looks at our worship in church. I remember praying for this worship leader that God should help him, and also help the many other worship leaders and ministries that are out of course.

Worship is surrender

It’s true that worship can happen through music and singing, but worship really is not music or singing. Worship is SURRENDER. The surrender of will, pleasures, self and anything that goes against the mind and will of God. How do I know this? One of the most revealing stories of worship, captured in scriptures, is the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. You can read John 4 for context. That story captures the heart of God for worship, but neither the woman nor Jesus was either singing or playing music. And also, if worship is just about music and singing, how will a deaf-mute who can neither hear nor speak, be a worshipper? Or how will babies in the womb leaping for joy at the sound of the presence of God count as worship?

Worship is surrender and surrender means trusting God to the point of abandonment in faith. Because God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth, it becomes important to understand what spirit and truth are. Spirit is what a man is when he is birthed by the Spirit of God. Simple! Spirit can only give birth to spirit and nothing else. To put it another way, spirit is what a man is in God and which dictates his spirituality. Meaning that whatever identity God gives a man by His own Spirit becomes that man’s spirituality, even as he is spirit because he is born of the Spirit of God. And a man’s truth is directly tied to what he is in spirit. Meaning that as a man’s spirit is the identity given by God through his Spirit, a man’s truth is the word of God spoken to him daily by the Spirit of God, which in turn creates his daily lifestyle. So, if God has called you a warrior in the spirit, your real-life situations and your daily lifestyle of faith cannot be far from that lifestyle of a warrior. This becomes your truth because it’s in line with who you are as spirit. And because truth is the word of God spoken to a man, and also because faith comes by hearing the word of God, your daily lifestyle begins to manifest that which you are: spirit, by faith. You stop being bothered about what people think when you make decisions that are not popular with men, but which are directly in line with who you are as spirit. This is the surrender of will and self that is pure worship before God. From this place of surrender which is pure worship before God, songs, dance, music, praise and anything else can now flow as external expressions of worship. But the worship situation in the church right now, is that of external expression of music, lights, dance etc., with no internal connection to spirit and truth.

The last days are about kings, kingdoms and worship

The last days, which we are in right now, are loaded with many things and the effects of those many things are affecting everyone on earth, either directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously. Take for instance Covid-19 and the many ways in which it is affecting all people globally. So, basically, Covid-19 was allowed by God to at least help many see what is and the magnitude of what is coming when the fullness of the end time comes into force.

One thing that is clear to me about the end-time, which scriptures also point to, is that the end-time events will be about kings (Christ the King, the Anti-Christ as king and ruler over earthly kings), kingdoms (the kingdom of the Christ and the kingdom of the Anti-Christ) and then the worship of the king that rules over the particular kingdom one finds himself in. See these scriptures for context: Mathew 24:7, Revelation 17:12-14, Revelation 13:11-12, Revelation 19:10, Revelation 5 and the many other places that give clarity on end-time worship.

The question now is this, since the worship of God must be in spirit and in truth, and the worship of the man of Satan must happen through the love of self and the love of the pleasure of this world, where exactly are you even as we enter into the end-times proper? Are you of the kingdom of God and in company with those who worship in spirit and truth? Or are you among those who are drunk with the wine of fornication of Babylon, who worship Satan even when their gospel/worship music and songs are the most popular in the world? All men must make a choice.

Calling God’s champions to arise

God is calling His champions to arise from their slumber and from their places of sleep and weakness. He knows you were broken by that relationship that beat the living daylights out of you. He knows that rejection threw you off balance and you missed your way with Him. He saw you when you cried all night asking that your life should be taken because you could no longer bear the pain life had thrown at you and the pain of having to “fail” Him again. He knows that even while you try to encourage others to stand, that your own legs are wobbling under the weight and the weariness of the wilderness. He is aware of the failures and many times you wished you never came in contact with Him in the first place. But in all of these seeming failures and regrets, you’re still the champion He has been waiting for. You are still the one in whose hands that particular mandate that will set men free from darkness, is given. And because He is faithful to His own word, He will remain faithful to what He has spoken over your life. No force on earth, in heaven or under the earth can stop it.

Let me share a personal experience.

God is magnifying the mandate

What God is doing in this season, for which He is calling forth His champions, is HUGE, and He, by the counsel of His own will, has also set in place grace to both bring His people out of their hidden dark places and also magnify the mandate in their hands. Here is my personal experience.

From the beginning of my walk with God, more than a decade ago, I have been given quite a number of daring assignments that have been completed already, mandates and purposes that must be fulfilled on this earth. But to sum it all up in one single mandate, my mandate is to “serve water at the King’s table and also to fight as a warrior in the Lord’s battle”. It’s a two-dimensional mandate which requires me, first, to be in any physical location, country or place where spiritual warfare is happening, or where it has to be prevented, and secondly, the reason why this website was set up to serve the people of God the water of the word. And that’s why my daily truth or lifestyle is directly manifested as a Nomadic or Pilgrim life. Many think when I move my family from one location to the other, it’s because I am either running from something or something is chasing me. That’s weak thinking, or at best, what men are taught in psychology class.

I had a dream this same morning shortly before I was told to go pray for the champions of God to come forth. In that dream, I was holding two glasses of water in both hands. I was dancing and playing along the path I was on like a child. I think I was even naked except for a pair of shorts I was wearing, or something like that. As I walked along, I threw the water from both glasses into the air playfully. It landed on the ground with a splatter. It was fun. I remember that even as I threw the water into the air, the glasses were not empty, and I continued on. But suddenly the water that I threw into the air started falling as rain. The rain became so heavy that it became a flood of water. I remember that in the dream, I didn’t stop playing in the rain even as it became the flood. Then something happened in the dream that I believe is very important for anyone reading this. As I continued throwing the water from the glasses into the air and even as the rain had now become a flood, I saw a creature in the distance coming towards me in the water. It has the long shape of a huge snake, the fins of a fish and the face of a dragon or dog. Like you will see mostly in Chinese epic movies. The creature came to where I was and changed into a dog. It was coming for me, but I kicked it in the face with a very strong force. That was the end of the dream.

Here is what came to me about the creature and for which a warning is being given for every champion of God to watch out for. The creature as I am made to understand is the spirit of Leviathan, the ruler of the sea. It is the spirit of evil suggestion, pride and worldliness. It is the spirit behind worldly wealth and its distribution, and also the spirit that controls the sons of pride. It took the form of a dog because its works are also manifested by the dog spirit, which is the spirit behind fornication, disloyalty, the love of self and the other attributes of self that Paul spoke about in 2 Timothy 3:1-4. Now concerning fornication, I am not really talking about sexual fornication as it were, even though one must also watch out for this trap, but I am talking of spiritual fornication which is: the exchange of that which is eternal for that which is material, like Esau did. This fornication or exchange is the greatest trap that the church has fallen into, and for which the church system and its many manifestations, must be destroyed for the true remnant to take its place. The church system has become the seat of Babylon, and God will not have it like that for long.

Now, what the water in the dream brings to mind is what God promised when he said the earth will be covered by the knowledge of the Lord, as waters cover the sea, and the scripture that says that when the cloud is full, it will bring forth rain. And this is true because God said it. But as I prayed for the champions of God, I also prayed about this dream. It was then it was dropped in my heart that the dream means an increase and the magnification of the mandates in the hands of the sons of God. It is this magnification of the mandates of the sons of God, that will, by the spirit of God, create the flood of the knowledge of God on the earth.

Now, child of God, you have been planting your seed (mandate) on the earth and pouring the water of the word of God on that seed for a long time. It seems that your efforts are not yielding fruit as they should be, or that they are even dead. But that’s not what God sees. For surely, the seed that has been planted and the water that has been poured on the seed will bring forth fruit thirty, sixty and a hundred-fold. God is too faithful to forget His word over you and your reward will not be given to someone else. So, as you prepare to come forth into a magnified mandate, be aware that a new level of glory in God always attracts new devils that want to steal what you have. Pay attention to that spirit of Leviathan, its venom is deadly through deceit and pride.

It shall not be long

The word and the cry have gone out for the sons and champions of God to come forth. It shall not be long, for in a little while, the movement shall begin and what men have called failure will now be seen as the success story of God on the earth. For God Himself will lead His people and nothing will by any means stop them.

In conclusion

Beloved champion of God, your story is not complete until you manifest the fulness of what God has for you on the earth. So do not hide anymore and do not tell yourself you are not called. Nor should you listen when men call you failure because you took a direction they do not understand. You have been faithful in little where no one saw you, now the time has come for you to manifest the much that God has in store for you.
